This is a non-sworn position. Wisconsin State Fair Park Police Department Dispatcher performs a full range of telephone and radio operational duties. The police dispatcher is the first line of communication a caller has and plays a key role in ensuring emergency personnel respond appropriately to a scene. This position is an unclassified, Limited Term Employment (LTE) position within the State of Wisconsin employment system. This is a seasonal position, supporting the Wisconsin State Fair. Position will be supporting one of two shifts. First shift covers 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM, and second shift covers 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM. More than 40 hours per week may be required leading up to and during the annual Wisconsin State Fair. Annual hours worked will not exceed 1,039.

The City of Eau Claire is currently accepting applications for a Communications Center Supervisor. The Eau Claire Emergency Communications Center dispatches for all Fire, EMS, and Law Enforcement agencies operating within Eau Claire County. This position is responsible for directing and supervising telecommunicators assigned to the Communications Center, as well as answering, handling, and dispatching calls for police, sheriff, fire, and emergency medical services.
