Responsibilities:
This is a non-sworn position. Wisconsin State Fair Park Police Department Dispatcher performs a full range of telephone and radio operational duties. The police dispatcher is the first line of communication a caller has and plays a key role in ensuring emergency personnel respond appropriately to a scene. This position is an unclassified, Limited Term Employment (LTE) position within the State of Wisconsin employment system. This is a seasonal position, supporting the Wisconsin State Fair. Position will be supporting one of two shifts. First shift covers 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM, and second shift covers 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM. More than 40 hours per week may be required leading up to and during the annual Wisconsin State Fair. Annual hours worked will not exceed 1,039.

- Ability to perform essential functions of this position
- Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Clear and concise speech
- Driver's license
- Good driving record
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
- No domestic abuse convictions
- No felony convictions
- React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
- U.S. citizen
- Vision correctable to 20/20
- Maintain TIME Certifications and Other Trainings.
