Reason for Announcement:
Responsibilities:
The Communication Center answers emergent 911 phone lines, non-emergent phone lines and monitors over 20 radio channels. Dispatch services are provided for Portage County Sheriff's Office, Stevens Point and Plover Police Departments as well as 33 EMS and Fire Agencies. Additional duties include; researching information for law enforcement agencies, entering warrants, entering missing persons, entering stolen vehicles/property, and entering restraining orders.
