Position Responsibilities

The primary function of this position is to staff the 24-hour operation of the UW-Madison Police Department Communications Center. The Law Enforcement Dispatcher receives, evaluates and acts upon information and requests concerning public safety, law enforcement or the University in general. The LED handles communications via radio, telephone, computer, e-mail, in person or any other medium.

A Dispatcher is responsible for dispatching police, fire, and EMS to various incidents throughout the Village of Twin Lakes. Responsible for answering emergency and non-emergency calls from the public. Multi-tasking and computer knowledge is vital. This position works shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
